Katrine K. Pedersen is a PhD fellow at the University of Copenhagen and is currently a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Washington, Center for Digital Youth.

She has been appointed as a member of the European Commission’s Board of Editorial Directors, where she contributes expertise on digital children’s and youth culture, with a particular focus on the grey zones where politics, popular culture, TikTok trends, and extremism intersect — and where children and young people are exploited for purposes not intended for them.

Katrine is the author of several books, including Counterculture (in Danish Modkultur 2011) and The Digitally Vulnerable (in Danish De digital udsatte 2017). She is frequently consulted as an expert by both Danish and international media.
