Katrine K. Pedersen is a PhD fellow at the University of Copenhagen and is currently a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Washington, Center for Digital Youth.
She has been appointed as a member of the European Commission’s Board of Editorial Directors, where she contributes expertise on digital children’s and youth culture, with a particular focus on the grey zones where politics, popular culture, TikTok trends, and extremism intersect — and where children and young people are exploited for purposes not intended for them.
Katrine is the author of several books, including Counterculture (2011), Phono Sapiens – The Slow Mammal on Speed(2015), and The Digitally Vulnerable (2017). She is frequently consulted as an expert by both Danish and international media.
