Katrine K. Pedersen is a PhD fellow at the University of Copenhagen and a 2025–2026 Fulbright Scholar at the University of Washington’s Center for Digital Youth. Her research explores the grey areas of children's digital ecosystems through the lens of children's rights (UNCRC), particularly the tensions between participation and protection.
Katrine is an appointed expert to the European Commission’s EU Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation. She is the author of several books, including Modkultur (Counterculture, 2011) and De digitalt udsatte (The Digitally Vulnerable, 2017). Her work bridges academic research, journalism, and public policy, and she is frequently consulted as an expert by Danish and international media.
